Shez Sirimanne Bio

Shehan "Shez" Sirimanne

Where I came from…
I grew up in North County San Diego and continued my education at Cal State San Marcos, where I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics and returned for my Graduate work and Administration Credential.

My Career in Education
I started my teaching career at Mission Hills in 2005 where I have taught many different mathematics courses, leadership, and TV news production. I was a co-founder of the Peer Leaders Uniting Students (PLUS) program on campus and helped it grow for 5 years. I took over the TV news production in 2008 and rebranded it ONE and was at the helm for 7 years. Most recently, I was ASB director for 2 years. In addition to programs and classes, I've coached Cross Country and Basketball.

I was humbled to be named MHHS Teacher of the year in 2009, Crystal Apple Award winner 2014, and San Marcos Rotary Peacemaker award recipient in 2010.

I am so thankful to work at a school where there is a culture of excellence and students excel in a community of passionate professionals.

What I do to relax
My current hobbies are woodworking, reading, and listening to vinyl.
I love spending time with my two daughters and wonderful wife.

Make it a Great Day!
