Principal's Letter

Dear Mission Hills High School Community,

Welcome to the new school year!  I am grateful for the privilege of leading our outstanding Mission Hills team in continued success.  I value the diversity of our community and commitment to high expectations and a nurturing environment. I join the MHHS community with nearly 20 years of experience as an educator. This includes a wide range of experiences, knowledge, and skills from my work as a 15-year veteran teacher, entrepreneur/business owner, education consultant, instructional coach, and school leader at Denver Public School’s largest and highest performing comprehensive high school. My immediate family includes my husband David;  our three daughters (his, hers, and ours) Chelsea (28), Mireya (18), and Auriella (12); our grandson John Robert (6); and our pets Dakota and Lilly. Mireya will be attending SDSU and Auriella will be attending Woodland Park MS in the fall.

My motto in leadership and in life is “We Belong”. This motto focuses my work on ensuring that all students and staff are able to bring their authentic selves to the campus each and every day; that all identities, cultures, and backgrounds are valued and celebrated; and that we will work together as a team to promote the academic success and social/emotional wellbeing of every Grizzly.  Please stop by and introduce yourself. I can’t wait to meet you!

With gratitude,

Regina Flores-Dunda
