Dual Enrollment (05/05/2022)

We are now accepting Dual Enrollment applications for FALL 2022.  The courses that will be offered are the following: 

  • AJ 104 (In person M/W 4:15 pm - 5:15 pm @ MHHS)
  • BMGT 152 (Synchronous online 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm)
  • ECON 101 (Synchronous online 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm)
  • COUN 110 (Hybrid course: MHHS-W, SMHS-TH 3:30pm - 5:00 pm)
  • CS 101 (Synchronous online T/Th 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm)

Below are the steps on how to enroll in a Dual Enrollment course:

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT FORMS: MONDAY, JUNE 6th 2022

Step 1: Create a CCCApply account and apply for the FALL term (if you already have a Palomar ID, you will still need to sign in below and update the term to FALL).

START HERE: Apply online at www.palomar.edu/apply


Look for your Palomar Student ID number, over email, 24 - 72 hours after your application is complete (Use a personal email and store your ID number/email/passwords).

Contact the Admissions Office if you do not receive your Palomar ID number after 72 hours: admissions@palomar.edu


Step 2: Activate your Palomar student email in the MyPalomar student portal. You will click ID/Password Help and enter your Palomar ID#

Step 3: PRINT and Complete the K12 form AND the SMUSD Student/Parent/Guardian Enrollment Agreement form (Must be completed in pen). 


*The K12 form MUST have your Palomar ID number (top right), and be signed by your parent/guardian. Make sure to list your desired course(s) in the Recommended Course(s) section. If you need a K12 form, you can pick one up in the counseling office or in the Future Center.

Step 4: Submit your completed forms (K12 and SMUSD agreement form) in the Future Center so counseling staff can sign.

Dual Enrollment UPDATE (01/31/2022):

Spring 2022 Palomar classes started: January 31st

February 22nd is the return to campus date and when face-to-face classes will resume on site. 

For classes that moved online for the first few weeks, students were notified by instructors (Canvas and/or Palomar student email) regarding method of instruction while online.

As a reminder, Palomar released a statement regarding in person classes, which affects Dual Enrollment classes being taught face-to-face (COUN 148, AJ 210, BMGT 153).

Starting January 31 - February 21, 2022, instructors will be pushing content to synchronous online during this period. 


Please make sure to check your Palomar email and your Canvas account regularly.
