In accordance with the USDA Eligibility Manual for School Meals, any household may apply for school meals anytime during the school year. For your convenience, meal applications are available online at: CNS Meal Application or paper applications are available and can be submitted at school offices, school cafeterias, and the District office. General meal application information:

 A household may apply for benefits at any time during the school year. Children of parents or guardians who become unemployed or experience a financial hardship mid-year may become eligible for free and reduced-price meals.

Only one application is required for all children in the household attending schools in the same Local Educational Agency. (LEA)

How to use the School Meal Program:
Middle School and High School Students

Student school ID number (6-10 digits) or ID card is utilized to access their meal account.
At Breakfast and Lunch, the student enters their ID number and then selects a meal.
Advise your student NOT to share their student ID number; others could access their account.
Meal Payments can be pre-paid using the online system at (www.myschoolbucks.com) or send cash or check in a white envelope. Include students name, Student ID number and amount. (Payable to SMUSD) or the student can pay at the time of service.
