Academics and Courses Offered
Courses are designed to meet students at their language proficiency level.
English Language Development (ELD)
Newcomers enter English Language Development (ELD) classes between levels 1-4.
All ELD classes are available for students in grades 9-12.
ELD 1: This two-period class meets the needs of EL students at the emerging level.
ELD 2: This two-period class meets the needs of EL's at the exit emerging level.
ELD 3: This one-period class meets the needs of EL's at the expanding level.
ELD 4: This one-period class meets the needs of EL's at the bridging level.
District adopted curriculum for ELD/ELA, Collections, is used in our ELD classes in conjunction with supplemental teaching resources such as Rosetta Stone and Lexia Power Up.

- AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination): Preparing students for college.

- DELAC (District English Learner Advisory Council): Composed of parents and district personnel.
