At Mission Hills, our goal is that students pursue rigorous courses that prepare them for the challenges of the college and/or career of their choice. Our AP and honors program boasts nearly 20 Advanced Placement courses allowing students to challenge college-level courses during their educational career at Mission Hills. We offer AP courses across our departments including science, math, English, history/social science, foreign language, and visual & performing arts. We also offer numerous honors courses that help prepare students for the demands of AP classes. With almost 900 students in AP courses this year, we've built an AP program to be proud of, and your children are a great source of that pride.

We are excited to offer several new supports to students at Mission Hills this year in hopes that our students feel supported through the difficulties of AP and honors courses. These supports include teacher-led tutoring, which is free and available to all students after school; our new Certified Student Tutoring Program, which is available to all students in an individual or small group setting; student-led breakout sessions, which are led by AP Ambassadors and open to all students; and I Am AP, a new club on campus that strives to unite students through one mission: to learn, lead, and succeed.

We are deeply committed to making our AP/honors courses accessible to all students, no matter what prior experiences they've had in advanced classes. It is our goal to broaden and diversify our AP/Honors courses so that all students have an opportunity to take challenging and high-level courses that prepare them for college and support them as they transition to the school or industry they choose. We offer abundant academic support and financial support to help remove barriers and obstacles that many students face as they enter the AP classroom. We hope that students feel confident and ready to challenge their exams in May, and we consistently look for new ways to make that happen.

We look forward to working with your family this year as your child excels in our successful AP/Honors program. Mission Hills has much to be proud of and your child contributes to that success. Thank your for helping us maintain and grow our commendable AP program at Mission Hills.
