Prerequisites: B or better in Spanish III (P), Spanish III (H) or Advanced Spanish for
Spanish Speakers and/or appropriate score on placement test recommended UC/CSU
This course focuses on the refinement of all skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in order to improve students' abilities in these areas and prepare them to succeed on the AP exam. The class requires lengthy homework assignments, frequent compositions and presentations, the addition of much new vocabulary, and oral participation. Instruction is differentiated in order to provide the depth, complexity, novelty, and pacing required by State gifted standards and to prepare students for the Advanced Placement program.
