Advanced Placement

Welcome Grizzlies and thank you for visiting our AP program page. At Mission Hills, our goal is that students pursue rigorous courses that prepare them for the challenges of the college and/or career of their choice. Our AP and honors program boasts nearly 20 Advanced Placement courses allowing students to challenge college-level courses during their educational career at Mission Hills. We offer AP courses across our departments including science, math, English, history/social science, foreign language, and visual & performing arts. We also offer numerous honors courses that help prepare students for the demands of AP classes. With almost 900 students in AP courses this year, we've built an AP program to be proud of, and your children are a great source of that pride.

AP Exams Permission Slip.pdf

The following are the testing dates that Mission Hills is offering their AP students. The first date listed is for the in person testing option to be taken at Mission Hills and the second date is for the virtual exam to be taken at home. The only exception to this is the AP Spanish Language and Culture test which must be administered in person so both dates will be taken at Mission Hills.

AP Exam Schedule

A few key pieces of information are below:

*Seminar students with a Lang exam conflict are taking the test virtually on May 26 at 9AM

*If you have forgotten the exam date you requested in the survey, you may go to www.apclassroom.collegeboard.org and in your AP Classroom information, it will list all testing dates.

*While you're in AP Classroom double check that your email associated with your account is a non-SMUSD email account.

*Check your emails regularly for testing updates!

*If you selected a virtual testing date, you will be excused from classes during that time. More information on this to come.

*Specific information for virtual testing to come. You will be informed through AP Classes, MHHS One Announcements, Email, and this web page.

*Refunds on all tests are still possible. If you decide to receive a refund, do not show up to testing or if you selected a virtual option do not enter the virtual test. I will be informed of those that did and did not test and will issue refunds over the summer. No more action on your part is needed.
