AP Student Support

Here at Mission Hills High School, we believe that all students should have access to rigorous and challenging courses; through our policy of open access and our systems that guarantee student support, we have record numbers of students in Advanced Placement and Honors classes. Freshman through seniors are encouraged to engage in AP classes, and we offer a variety of AP courses across subject areas. As our program is growing, so is our success. Grizzlies are thriving in AP & Honors classes and we know they will continue to make us proud as they enter college or the workforce.

We are excited to offer several ongoing supports to students at Mission Hills in hopes that our students feel supported through the difficulties of AP and honors courses. These supports include teacher-led tutoring, which is free and available to all students; our new Certified Student Tutoring Program, which is available to all students in an individual or small group setting; student-led breakout sessions, which are led by AP Ambassadors and open to all students; and I Am AP, a club on campus that strives to unite students through one mission: to learn, lead, and succeed.

Students have opportunities to lead and mentor in our AP program. If you are a student who would benefit from a personal peer mentor, or you are a person who would like to mentor your peers, you are in the right place. Email Mrs. Markgraf at [email protected] to learn more about our peer mentorship program. We are always here to help.
