GRADUATION

    • What: Graduation Commencement Ceremony
    • When: June 11th, 2025
    • Where: MHHS Stadium
    • Graduate Practice: Seniors who attend and participate in Graduation must attend ALL practices (See Senior Calendar); no exceptions. Please make arrangements so that there are no conflicts with all scheduled practices.
    • Graduate Check In: Graduates are to report to the Gym at 4:30pm with cap and gown in hand. Graduates should park in the student parking lot (it is best to be dropped off or carpool). Please be sure to allow for extra time for traffic congestion. Cell phones, sunglasses, signs, cameras, electronic devices, etc., and other non-Mission Hills regalia is strictly prohibited. Any prohibited items will be collected at check in and may be claimed at the snack bar/press box after Graduation.
    • Tickets: Five tickets per graduating senior will be distributed at Graduation Practice on Tuesday June 4th. In order to receive tickets, Senior financial obligations must be paid and all books and chromebooks returned. Additionally, any outstanding Saturday Schools must be taken care of. All children over the age of 3 must have a ticket to enter the stadium. Tickets are watermarked and cannot be reproduced and there are no extra tickets to distribute. The school website will have a link to a live streaming of the ceremony on the day of Graduation.
    • Guest Parking /Important times: Guest parking will be available at Mission Hills Church (off Mission Hills Court).There will be shuttle buses moving between the church and the high school on a circuit. Additional limited handicapped parking is
      available in the Staff Lot off Richland Road. The sheriff will close the Student Lot as soon as it is full. Stadium Gates open at 4:00pm and the student processional into the Stadium will begin promptly at 6:00pm.
    • Guest Seating/ Prohibited Items: No folding chairs, coolers, personal banners, signs, balloons, other items that may obstruct viewing/seating, air horns, or silly string will be permitted in the stadium. Umbrellas may be used for sun protection but must be closed at the announcement prior to the ceremony. Guests may enter with sealed, disposable water bottles only and all bags are subject to search. Open containers and/or food is not permitted.
    • Behavior: Students will be removed from the ceremony for inappropriate behavior and the diploma will be held until the student and parent meet with the principal. Any senior involved in senior “pranks” and/or vandalism may not be allowed to participate in the Graduation ceremony. It is imperative students maintain appropriate behavior.
    • Clothing: Graduates are not to wear any ornaments (beads, leis, flowers, pins, etc.) or other non-Mission Hills adornments outside the gown. Caps may not be altered in any way. Graduates will be walking from the pavilion, around the front office and down into the stadium. There will be hills, steps, and slopes. Graduates should avoid tall heels and flip flops, and are strongly advised to wear semi-formal attire. Dark slacks, dresses, and dress shirts look best with the cardinal robes, as do dark shoes and socks. Gowns should be neat and wrinkle-free; DO NOT use a hot iron as it will damage the gown. Gowns should be carried into the Plaza and not worn. Tassels are worn on the left side of the cap. Caps should be worn squarely on the head parallel to the ground. Bobby pins may be needed to secure the cap. Staff will assist graduates with their gowning prior to the ceremony
    • Diploma: Students may pick up diplomas on Thursday, June 6th from 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at the Attendance Office windows. Seniors will need their student identification cards or a driver’s license to obtain their diplomas. All outstanding fines must be paid or cleared prior to receiving a diploma.

    • We're thrilled to announce that Keane Studios is the official yearbook photographer for Mission Hills High School seniors!
    • Why book early? By securing your session over the summer, you'll have more flexibility to choose a convenient date and time before the school year starts. Plus, you'll have ample opportunity to showcase your individuality and style, ensuring your senior portraits truly reflect the incredible person you've become.
    • Keep an eye out for their upcoming emails, where they will provide you with all the necessary details on how to schedule your session. Please book using the link in your email as it's attached to YOUR account. Sharing this with your friend means your friend will book under YOUR name. If you have to create a new account, your username is your student ID and your password is your last name (case and hyphen sensitive).

    • If you cannot make it to the studio, we will have one on-campus shoot as well: September 10th
      • These sessions are $29 and you'll be able to choose your portrait.
    • On December 10th and 11th, seniors can come for the complimentary yearbook portrait session.

    Senior Portraits should be completed before Winter Break to make sure that they appear in the yearbook!
    CARDINAL SCHOLARS
    This is a recognition program for only those graduating Seniors who have achieved an overall GPA of a 4.0 or higher. (GPA of 9th through 11th grade). In addition, you must have demonstrated a continued commitment to their school. We know all the hard work that it takes to accomplish the GPA that you did. We are proud of you and look forward to having your photo and bio in our front office!

    If you were notified that you are a Cardinal Scholar, you must complete your bio and have your portrait taken on campus on TBD. You received more information in your emails.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Ms. Ryan in the AP Office.
